Bromhexine? (mucolytic-expectorant)
It is a mucolytic-expectorant (one brand name for it-Bisolvon) I read about. Anyone reading used it, or knows something about its efficacy? AFAIK not available in the USA, more common in other countries. Anyone here know something about it?

Macrolides as anti-inflammatory?
http://www.medscape.com/medline/abstract/15586560 Interesting article. I remember reading a similar one some months ago, except that that one was more specifically about the long-term use of azithromycin in cystic fibrosis, also for its anti-inflammatory properties. (I think I posted the URL here, also on Medscape.) Has anyone here been prescribed a macrolide for such a purpose (not referring to short-term use for an infection), or has anyone prescribed it to patients? Results? I imagine that the antibiotic effect would be lost with long-term use, due to resistance. But the purpose d

May Diclofenac and Ibuprofen be taken together?
Hello, My doctor has told me that codeine and Ibuprofen may be taken together. Now I am having a very painful attack of gout, for which he has prescribed Diclofenac. I took the Diclofenac at 4am (it is now 2 hours later.) Is it possible to follow this up with some Ibuprofen? The pain is still excrutiating. If not ibuprofen, then Codeine? He has also prescribed codeine for me for any attacks of excrutiating pain, with other conditions. I am too exhausted to be able to google up this information for myself, which I normally would do. Many thanks. Mary

I’m a Italian chemist, I discovered a strongly innovative system, based on one resin which is not of polymer nature and which is produced by himself not yet exisisting on the market and not yet patented. It is highly selective in catching molecules glycosilated from complex liquid matrices or liquid watery extracts from solid matrices. Through this kind of resin it is possible to obtain industrial amounts of crystalline solid extracts of elevated purity between which, as an example, from olives vegetation water : biophenols with assay> 98 % ( HPLC ) and ORAC value> 20000 ueq TE/g ; f

x-no-archive:yes Several years ago I took some viagra. A day later out of the blue it felt like I had to make myself breath if that makes any sense and it scared me. It happened again a year later. After a few weeks it eventually went away. During this time I had a normal EKG. My question is, it is my understanding that Viagra is excreted in the urine after 4 hours and is out of your system by then. How could this cause those effects after theoretically it was gone from my body?

Bad science - Drugs and prohibition
<http://www.guardian.co.uk/life/badscience/story/0,,1837827,00.html> Bad science - Drugs and prohibition Ben Goldacre Saturday August 5, 2006 The Guardian Certain areas of human conduct lend themselves so readily to bad science that you have to wonder if there is a pattern emerging. Last week the parliamentary science and technology committee looked into the ABC classification of illegal drugs, and found it was rubbish. This is not an article about that report, but it is a good place to start: drugs, they found, are supposed to be ranked by harm, in classes A, B, and C, but they're n
