| Living with retro-part 2 Good news to report today. As I said in my last post, my first try at having sex after my PVP, about 3 and a half weeks post-op, was very disappointing. I waited until today, about 6 weeks post-op, and had a much better experience. I decided to wait until my vacation, which starts today. I wanted to have an opportunity to really take my time, and do everything possible to make sex a pleasurable experience. (Well, almost everything.) And that's what I did. | Laub Update Met with Dr. Laub on Wednesday in Santa Barbara. What a difference. No large group with 10 people in the waiting room. He was right on time, no wait. Has a rest room in his office. Easy parking for the small medical building directly across from the hospital. He was very nice. Took a lot of time discussing the proceedures. He has basically gone to Laser only over TURP. He does do the full range of other proceedures. Very comforting and instilled immediate confidence. Will schedule for next month after Holidays and when I can clear calendar. Will keep you informed. | Urinary Retention and Exercise I have an enlarged prostate and chronic protatitis. I'm on Uroxatral which eases the symptoms somewhat. I'm normally up 3 times a night minimum taking 5 to 10 minutes each time to urinate (but with still some retention). I've found recently that certain types of exercise makes the retention significantly worse. Walking a mile is enough to stop me up for a few hours. Has any one else had a similar problem and have you found any relief? Ed |
